Morley once remarked that he had thought of this piece while travelling by train, because the gentle rhythm of the wheels on the rails had suggested the tune.    The description could certainly apply to the first section, but later on there are some quite demanding scale passages in triplets, which might have been the result of clattering over some complicated point-work at a junction.   The piece is in the keys of C and F major, and although parts of it require a fair amount of quick and accurate shifting around the fingerboard, it is tuneful, and would be a satisfying addition to the repertoire of all average players.
