Reverie

This is another of the four ‘Solos for a Quieter Mood’, and was played by the composer and his father at a Federation Rally, where they won the ‘Duet’ Cup.   Parts of the Rally were broadcast, and this was one of the pieces chosen by the BBC producer because, he said: “It makes the banjo sound like a musical instrument”.  — A backhanded compliment, but typical of the general public who rarely have a chance to hear this kind of a piece.   If you are an average player, here is your chance to enlighten a few more of the ignorant.
