WHISTLING RUFUS
This is an all-time favourite, not only of banjoists, but also of the general public. The appeal of the piece is that it has some very good tunes and, as far as the banjoist is concerned, it fits the instrument so well that it could have been composed especially for it. The piece was written back in 1898, and this arrangement was made by Clifford Essex himself, at a time when the banjo was at the height of its popularity. Now that the banjo is becoming popular again, all players should add this piece to their repertoire.
