A quartet for mandolin, mandola, guitar and bass
Here we have a musical conversation piece; the mandolin and mandola representing a couple of people chatting as they stroll along, and their footsteps evoked by the quiet accompaniment of the guitar and bass. It was intended for the four instruments only, but could be played by a larger group provided the balance is retained between the talking and the walking.
