SUNFLOWER BREAKDOWN
This is another early piece which Morley probably wrote before the 1890s while he was playing with one of the minstrel troupes. He became known as ‘the master of the dotted quaver and semiquaver’, so it is not surprising to find plenty of them, combined with triplets, and interspersed with crotchet notes and chords. It is easy to play, and has three movements, two in C minor, and the third in A flat.
