Ragged Robin

RAGGED ROBIN

Here is another interesting title from Derek Hall.    The name Ragged Robin belongs to a common wildflower, and suggests an association with country dancing and folk music.   Not surprisingly, the piece sounds as if it was written for Morris Dancers, and if played at the suggested tempo, or very near it, will give a great deal of satisfaction in performance, and enjoyment for a listener.   It has no difficult parts or long stretches, with all the positions lying comfortably under the fingers; — a useful addition to the repertoire of all banjoists.
