Park Hunter was acknowledged to be one of the finest banjoists of his day, and he wrote many attractive solos. This is a rousing march which incorporates sections of chromatic scales in the second and third movements. An ideal piece for both beginners and advanced players: for the former, the opportunity to play a tuneful solo and practise at the same time, and for the latter, the chance to show off their technique!
