This Kershner-style tailpiece is one of the most popular for banjo players. Its length and weight help enhance sustain while contributing to a clear, bright tone.

Front-edge string notches make restringing quick and easy. The tailpiece is nickel-plated for durability and features a classic vintage look that complements both new builds and restorations. An attachment bolt and hex nut are included.

Designed for both 4-string and 5-string banjos, this tailpiece is compatible with loop-end strings only.

Installation & Adjustment:
The Kershner tailpiece is secured by string tension along with its attachment bolt. A central tension screw allows you to adjust string pressure over the bridge, enabling fine control over tone. Two additional screws near the base provide side-to-side string alignment when needed.
