Joe Morley wrote over two hundred banjo solos and, apart from a few which require a high degree of technical ability, they were all tuneful pieces playable by the average amateur banjoist. The chromatic runs in this solo look very daunting, but given careful attention to the fingering, most players should not have any trouble with it. There are four main sections in the three keys of F, C, and B flat major, and the piece can be taken at quite a leisurely pace, although if it is presented to a non-banjo playing audience, some of the repeats could be omitted.
