Blue Eyes
BLUE EYES
This solo is listed as Number 2 in the catalogue of the Cammeyer Music and Manufacturing Company. Alfred Cammeyer was in partnership with Clifford Essex until 1900, so this solo was probably written about the turn of the century. It is subtitled ‘Song and Dance’ which was a presentation frequently performed on the stage of the music halls of the time. There are no words to the song, which is in two sections, and the Dance is an eight bar theme, repeated once. The whole piece is in the key of C major, and is very tuneful, a little repetitive, but quite easy to play.
