SUNFLOWER DANCE

This is an all-time favourite among banjoists of all abilities because, although it is considered a very easy piece, it is also very tuneful.   It is an ideal solo for beginners who are working their way through a Tutor, but would like to try something other than the pieces in the book.   As with all the Clifford Essex banjo publications in this Series, it is presented in Notation and Tablature.   There are three sections, one each in G, D, and C major, with the original left hand fingering shown.   The only right hand fingering on the original is shown under the two triplets at the end of the Trio, and this has been retained, but the opportunity has been taken to show alternative fingering which avoids the repeated picking of the same string with the same finger.
