This is one of Morley’s earlier pieces and, at first sight, appears to be very easy. However, there are some typical combinations of triplets and dotted notes, and a few quick shifts required, which make it more interesting than the simple beginners exercise type of solo. It has some good tunes, ranging through the keys of C, G and F, and is guaranteed to get the feet tapping whether they belong to the player or the audience.
