Most players of the mandolin choose phosphor bronze wound because of the bright sound they produce, nickel wound strings produce a more mellow tone.

Really good strings. Very well packed.
Not the cheapest, but worth the money. It is difficult to find a good quality ultra light string for a vintage mando at a realistic price. These fit the bill nicely. Plus you can put the little silica gel packs in the salad drawer of the fridge to keep your lettuce fresh for longer. (Liz Truss take note…)
